Save Planet Polluto - The CD-ROM
Save Planet Polluto is an educational, interactive
air quality adventure that teaches the causes of air pollution and
ways to improve air quality.
In the CD version, you will receive a secret message
from Airius, the leader of the Clean Air Underground - the Airidians.
The Airidians have vowed to "rid the planet of bad air"
before it's too late. Your mission will be to unravel the mystery
of Planet Polluto's unhealthy air quality, learn as much as you
can and teach the Pollutonians how to abandon their polluting ways
and clean up their air.
After accepting your mission, you will be in command
of the rapid response vessel Inteligus and travel to Planet Polluto.
Once there, you must attend the Air Academy and successfully complete
six classes. These classes include :
- Pollutonian Civilization
- Health Center
- Extraterrestrial
Studies
- Memory Lab
- Language Lab
- Chemistry Lab
After sucessfully completing each class at the
Air Academy, you will receive a Yazblat, the official currency of
Planet Polluto. You will need these to gain access to other locations
on the planet. In each of these locations, you will need to successfully
solve problems to complete your mission. You must visit:
- Wheezel's Garage
- Conduct a smog check and repair a smog-belching Pollutonian
vehicle - a Supernova Gasaholic.
- The AQI Satellite
- Repair the satellite that orbits around Planet Polluto by learning
the colors, numbers and health effects of the Air Quality Index.
- The City of Hackton - Click on various
parts of the city and find pairs of twins. When you find them,
you need to decide which one is helping clean the air and which
one pollutes.
- NOxVille - Improve
the town by making decisions on transportation, land use, commuting
and work habits. You must choose wisely to make the cloud of smog
over the town go away.
- PollutoPlex -
Enjoy an afternoon watching the latest Ozone Movies at the PollutoPlex.
You'll need to solve three Pollutonian puzzles before you can
watch the movies.
After learning the source of the Pollutonian's
air pollution problems and solving the challenges, you will earn
the Orb of Knowledge. By presenting the Orb to Airius you will give
the people of Planet Polluto the knowledge they need to save their
planet from the ravages of air pollution.
